It is a member of the Legume family and produces very attractive leaves on a thin, wiry stem. Each leaf, triangular in shape, appears almost handpainted with thin bands of red on a light green background. This also gives the plant it's common name of 'Butterfly Plant'. It enjoys bright light but no direct sun, and a moist but well drained substrate. Medium to high himidity is preferred, Available plants are growing in 3" deep pots and are approximately 4"-6" tall.
