Gold Tips. Selaginella or "spikemoss" does extremely well in woodland and tropical terrariums due to their cultural needs. This variety has wiry stems with green leaves. As the name suggests, the new growth is a pale gold color. They like shady, moist conditions and will spread to offer a beautiful ground cover.
