Titanum at Fairchild Botanical Gardens in Miami. Titanum at Kew Royal Botanical Gardens in London. | Highly sought after by rare plant collectors as well as botanical gardens! This is the world famous 'Titan Arum' that reaches huge proportions under ideal conditions producing a single leaf that can reach 20' high and wide at maturity. It is also famous for the gigantic inflorescence (the largest in the world) which emits a stench likened to that of a dead elephant to attract beetles and flies as pollinators. The plants we are offering are small plants from tissue culture and will require several years of growth before blooming. Close-up of base Close-up of leaf. |
